Kashima City is located in the southern part of Saga Prefecture, Japan. Kashima City is about 1 hour by train from Fukuoka Prefecture and Nagasaki Prefecture, and is adjacent to Ureshino City, Tara Town, Shiroishi Town in Saga Prefecture. You can use route bus, taxi, rental bicycle etc. when visiting tourist attractions in the city.

How to get to Kashima from outside the city

We will explain traffic access when you come to Kashima City from outside the city by train or car. In addition, please use the website of JR Limited Express Kamome when using train.

From Fukuoka Airport

About 5 minutes from Fukuoka-Kuko (airport) Station to Hakata Station by Fukuoka City Subway. After that, about 57 minutes from Hakata Station to Hizen-Kashima Station by JR Limited Express Kamome.

From Saga Airport

・Bus and Train
About 35 minutes from Saga Airport to Saga Station by bus. After that, about 19 minutes from Saga Station to Hizen-Kashima Station by JR Limited Express Kamome.

・Rental Car or Limousine Taxi
From the west entrance of Saga Airport, please take Prefectural Route 49 toward Kashima City. Then take Route 444 toward Kashima City in about 60 minutes. When using the limousine taxi, advance booking is required from the following website. The limousine taxi fare is 1500 yen, the journey time is about 50 minutes.

Nagasaki Airport

It takes about 60 minutes to Kashima City via the Prefectural Route 38 and National Route 444.

From Fukuoka Prefecture

1. Enter the Kyushu Expressway from the Dazaifu IC.
2. Enter the Nagasaki Expressway from the Tosu JCT.
3. From the Takeo-Kitagata IC enter the National Route 34, after that follow the National Route 498 toward Kashima City.

From Oita / Kumamoto Prefecture

1. Drive in the Oita (Kyushu) Expressway and go to the Tosu JCT.
2. Enter the Nagasaki Expressway from the Tosu JCT.
3. From the Takeo-Kitagata IC enter the National Route 34, after that follow the National Route 498 toward Kashima City.

From Nagasaki Prefecture

1. Drive in the Nagasaki Expressway and go to the Ureshino IC.
2. From the Ureshino IC enter the Prefectural Route 1, after that go to the Ureshino downtown area.
3. Go on the National Route 34 to the left, go through the Prefectural Route 41 toward Kashima City.

Traffic access to main tourist attractions

Yutoku Inari Shrine

It is about 10 minutes by Yutoku Bus from Kashima Bus Center located in front of Hizen-Kashima Station. There is a distance from Hizen-Hama Station to the nearest bus stop, and the number of buses is also small, so it is easier for you riding a bus from Hizen-Kashima Station to Yutoku Inari Shrine.

Hizen Hamashuku

It is about 6 minutes on foot from Hizen-Hama Station. If you go from Yutoku Inari Shrine by bus to Hizen Hamashuku, get off at the “Kojodanchi-iriguchi” bus stop, and it is about 7 minutes on foot from there. Also, it is about 30 to 40 minutes on foot from Yutoku Inari Shrine to Hizen Hamashuku.

Michi-no-Eki Kashima

It is about 8 minutes on foot from Hizen-Nanaura Station. Because the number of buses and trains is small, we recommend that you check the round-trip time in advance.
