It is a museum that displays treasures and local materials owned by the Yutoku Inari Shrine. At the permanent exhibition, many historical items are on display, such as the armor of the successive lords of the Kashima clan, mikoshi (portable shrine) used at the Shinko Festival held before World War II, the map of Yutoku Inari Shrine before the great fire in 1949 (Showa 24). Other special exhibitions are held for a limited time only. At the entrance of the museum, the city’s special products “Nogomi Dolls” and “Kashima Nishiki Textiles” are exhibited and can be purchased as a souvenir.
